How to compare weight-management costs in Singapore

Look beyond the monthly headline to understand the support and total commitment.

Two programmes can advertise a monthly price and pay for very different things. One might cover consultations; another might include coaching, tests or an app. The useful comparison is what you receive and what you will pay over the same period.

Look at the first payment and the ongoing cost

An initial assessment may be charged separately. A four-week plan has 13 billing periods over 52 weeks; a calendar-month plan has 12 per year. A lower monthly equivalent may also require several months paid upfront.

Before choosing, get a clear figure for the first payment, the recurring payments and anything that could cost extra.

What should the price cover?

ItemWhat to look for
AssessmentWhat the appointment includes, and the charge if a different approach is recommended.
Follow-upHow many reviews are included, who conducts them and the fee for extra appointments.
TestsWhether proposed tests are included or billed separately.
Coaching and app supportWho provides support, how often and what happens between contacts.
Prescribed treatmentWhether it is charged separately and when the cost will be explained.
Other chargesDelivery, administration and applicable taxes.
CommitmentMinimum term, upfront payment, renewal, cancellation and refund terms.

Compare the total, not the label

For the period you are considering, add the upfront charge, recurring payments and expected extras. If something depends on the assessment, leave it as an unknown until the provider can explain it.

A higher price may include support you value. A lower price may suit you better. Neither tells you enough without a clear scope.

“Unlimited messaging” also deserves a closer look. Contact hours, who replies and how concerns reach a clinician matter more than the label.

Keep room to choose

A consultation should help you understand appropriate options. It is not a promise of a particular prescription. Knowing the assessment fee and what happens next lets you make that decision with fewer surprises.
